Technochem
liquid processing chemicals general effects and benefits The
subject of the grinding aid indeed a very complex one. Until today,
and as far as we know, subject has never been taught at a university.
The reactions and interactions cannot really be verified or analysed,
and the answers to the technical questions are often to be found in
the production process and not in the laboratory.
How
to chose the best LPC? Our
experience says that the best type of grinding aid for a given
processing of cement or minerals is determined by a number of
factors, such as mill type and grinding circuit, type of raw
materials and the predetermined target.
Even
when a certain type of ball mill is used for grinding a given type of
material, the best type of grinding aid can strangely enough be
different from the one for another mill of identical design and size
used for grinding the same material.
Although
we, based on information about the mills in question, type of raw
material, size of input and output, can make certain predictions as
to the most suitable type of grinding aid, only industrial tests in
the factories can give the answers about type and performance.
Laboratory testing has limited value, since the industrial conditions
cannot be duplicated in a laboratory mill.
